I want to invest in a great nail art airbrush and there are so many kinds for car paint and tshirts and i want to know what kind is best ANDDDD whether to use a siphon or gravity feed.Nail techs....do you prefer a siphon or gravity nail airbrush feed? I just do acrylic nails. (not tshirts etc.
I don't do nails, however I've been airbrushing for years.
My experience is that siphon feeds for ANY application waste far too much paint. I'd go with a gravity feed for sure.
Lots of brands out there, and I'm sure the selection is daunting. I've used Paasche, Badger, and others in the past...and have given them all up for a number of Iwata's (different airbrushes for different applications).
So...where to get expert advice...
Call Coast Airbrush, tell em what you want to do and they will advise accordingly. Airbrushing is about all they do, and I use them as my primary source for any questions or issues I may have. You can get their toll free number from the site. Their prices are good...but I'll give you another site for more options.

What paint can I use when doing nail art with airbrush...paint from hobby lobby?

Do you need a special air compressor for a airbrush tattoo gun or will a nail gun compressor or co2 work?
If by ';nail gun compressor'; you mean a shop compressor, than yes that's actually better. The compressors they sell specifically for airbrush are junk. You'll almost never see a professional using one. They either have a very small tank, or no tank at all. This means the compressor is constantly running, and pumping hot air through your hose. As the air cools in your line it creates water, causing you to have to use an in-line moisture trap.
As long as you have a regulator with a moisture trap, and the proper fittings, you're good to go with the shop compressor. In my studio, I keep my compressor in another room. I have 3/8'; hose running from the compressor, through the ceiling to the regulator mounted on the wall where I paint. This way I don't have to hear it when it kicks on.
As far as co2 goes, I've done it. The pros are it's portable, it's silent, and you don't need a moisture trap. The cons are if you're spraying wide open for any length of time, the gun will get so cold you'll have to put it down. It also gets a bit expensive filling tanks all the time.

Long answer, yes. There are 40 psi air comps made for air brushes but the most important thing is filtering out the oil and water. air brush fittings are different from standard compressed air quick connects.
CO2 will only work in short spurts. Long sustained runs will chill the line and freeze. You need to keep the can in warm water.

well if i remember right my friends would fill up car tires and use the air from them to do there air brush work cheaply, a compressor would work if you can regulate it down to a few pounds.
The first will work, the second will not. The nail gun has short, but powerful blasts.

How are airbrush nails put on......do they cover all your nail or is it like a french tip?
Airbrushing nails is a different way to paint the nails. So it uses a special base coat and top coat. The color is airbrushed on. Basically it is spray painting your nails.
