How long does airbrushing on gel nails typically last?
Once my white tips grow out on my gel nails Im considering just getting the white tips (french manicure) just airbrushed on when i get them filled, so i dont have to get new sets each time.

I prefer somewhere where they speak english and focus on the customer and don't ';rush'; through and do a half job. I have had many bad experiences with being cut, wounded, crooked sets, etc...I don't mind paying more...as long as it's worth it. Why when I am in the grocery store I see people with thier nails done and airbrushed and really long.......?
They are wearing designer jeans and designer shoes!! Gold jewlery and better cars then I can afford then they wipe out there food stamp card!! Do these poeple not know that when they get services they do not need then someone who really needs them can not get them!!!! I have never needed help (thank god above) But i have known people who did and where denied!! These poeple make me sick!!! If you can not afford tobuy grocerys then stop getting your nails done every week and stop getting big expensive cars so you can look good and buying designer jeans at Nordstroms for 170.00 a pair!!! Can anyone give me an aswer as to why this happens! I am sure a case worker can see they get thier nails done and are not stupid!! You are right though people take up all the help so the ones who need it the most can not get it and the kids are the ones who suffer the most. Maybe we should stop helping the immigrants that come here so that there is more help for the ones who have been here the whole time. I watched and immigrant family move here, they where given a grant for housing, food stamps and money, now they have the whole family living here!! My mom couldn't afford to buy us food, and we lived off Welfare to let the Government help us out... My mom got laid off her job, and scraped every cent and penny to buy us something for Christmas...I grew up and moved out on my own because my mom knew I could live a better life and escape poverty, and I respect her taking care of me, even when we grew up with barely no money.
So just shutup! If they want something nice, they can get it if they want to, don't tell them they can't... As long as they can take care of their families, and have love in the Home... That's all that matters.
Because those people know how to ';work'; the system. I see it all the time. Welfare has become more of a lifestyle than financial assistance in a time of need.
Shouldn't the real question be, why do we need welfare when there is enough money and food for everyone?
My grandparents used to own a grocery store in a town where approx 80% of the population was on welfare. I woudl see the same thing all the time, these women's kids would come in shorts, no shirt or shoes and looking like they have not been bathed in a month, yet the moms had all the latest trendy clothing and such. Thats why I have such strong feelings against welfare, the kids are RARELY the ones who are taken care of.
they've learned how to work the system. plain and simple. for some reason they think they're entitled to all of it and if they can get the government to pay for some of it,they will. seems to me their priorities are screwed up. i'd rather know that i earned what i have rather than have it handed to me. pisses me off too but with the government so back logged, there's not a whole lot we can do about it.
It continues to happen because as US citizens we don't speak up. Once most of Americans will stop and see what is going on, it will make them mad enough to make something happen. That is our money they are spending on nails, jeans, ect. I worked in a doctors office and a lady came in with her grandson she had custody of him. She worked for GM. She had GM insurance. She had him on medicaid. How does it happen? Either they have an inside source or the lie. Most generally it is the latter.

Now granted I have never let my kids starve but there has been a few times mom has gone without. When I brought this up to my state and tried to file for assistance, they denied my claim.
So in other words if you have no job and have 6 kids you can eat drink and be merry. and get that fancy car and get your nails done. But if you a hard working person just trying to make ends meet there is no help for you.....

Most people live in houses they can't afford and drive a car they don't need. We only see this in welfare recipients, but in reality it goes on in all segments of society.

I'm not sure I think they do something illegal like sell drugs and then their money cant be traced they put their cars in moms name. And they tell the government they have no job so they live in free homes, get free food, and free medical for all 5 kids. That's how they do it. I'm willing to bet.
The case workers can only go by proven income. They can' t use speculation to deny anyone.
Never judge a book by it's cover. Even people in need have pride. They could be wearing their very best outfit, their ONLY very best outfit to go out into public, if it helps their self esteem, who are you to judge? It might not even be their car, maybe they are borrowing it from a friend or relative. The point is, you are not them, you don't live their life or walk in their shoes, and things are not always what they seem.
If you don't like the system, write to your congressman and supply ways you think the system can be fixed. Otherwise, just keep counting your blessings and I will pray for you.
i know exactly what you're talking about. i used to be a cashier at a grocery store in a town where it was mostly populated with african-americans %26amp; elderly people. a lot of people would come in carrying coach bags %26amp; they would have their nails done %26amp; it made me feel so poor but then they pulled out their food stamps to pay for everything. it was really weird. and its definitely not fair.

when u take off the nails, ur supposed to soak it in acetone. but will regular nail polish do? and i also heard they can fall off. how long would that take?

You do not have to have artificial nails to have this done. You can have your own natural nail airbrushed. Were I live to have your own nails done costs around $15.00. Depending on what is airbrushed and if you do all of your fingers. Check around your area of prices for what you want done.

the white tip paint is really really strong. try using nail polish removers with acetone. the ones without wont work. but you risk weaking the nails...

Does anyone know of a nail salon in Southern California that does airbrushing? Please only answer if you know for a fact. A lot of places advertise it by having it up on their windows or signs, but when you actually ask about it, they don't do it anymore. Airbrushing nails is a different way to paint the nails. So it uses a special base coat and top coat. The color is airbrushed on. Basically it is spray painting your nails.

Wear what YOU like. Your sexual orientation (no matter what it is) isn't going to be changed because of it, and anybody above the age of 14 will know what it is no matter WHAT you wear.

It is possible to get airbrush on your real nails. It stays on longer than getting it painted. Any salon can do airbrush, but it depends if they have the airbrush machine or not. You'll like the french airbrush. =) Good luck.

well in my experience the paint they use with the airbrush is very tenacious, like house paint or something! it takes forever to come off your nails. I don't know if that means it's bad for your nails or not but I woudl think yes.concealer

Acrylics set you up for the risk of fungal infections, not to mention the bacteria that get trapped under them and that get trapped between your real nail and the acrylic when your natural nails start to grow out.

Simple. Airbrushing the white on is the easy way for the tech to do pink %26amp; whites. Well, so is doing a white tip. FOr best looking results, find someone who does sculpting of nails. They don't use tips, they just place a nail form onto your fingertip and sculpt the extension over it. But, it takes much more skill to do this method, so that is why the cheap places do not do this type of nails. Most of those people in the cheap salons are not skilled enough to sculpt. Anyone can put a tip on the nail and lay clear acrylic over it. It takes skill to sculpt the white on, and to build the nail so that it isn't flat, but instead looks like a real nail that has an arch - called an 'apex,' built into it. Flat nails look awful. A properly built nail has good structure to it. You can tell for yourself if the tech did a good job, or not. Simply look at your nails from the side. If they look flat along the entire length of the nail, then they did a poor job. But, if they start out very thin by the cuticle area, and gradually reach a peak around where the free edge begins, then slopes back downward and tapers off at the very tip of the nail - then the tech did a good job on your nails. Nail structure is very important if you want realistic looking nails. Its very easy to slap on a couple layers of acrylic and spread it across the nail - which makes it appear 'flat.' It takes skill to build them correctly. And airbrushing the white on? You could train a chimp to do that in about 15 minutes. Thats a really lame way of doing nails. Its cheap looking, and it does not last at all. It will chip off before you know it. It takes absolutely no skill whatsoever to airbrush the white extension onto your nails. And that is why the techs who do this method do it in the first place - because they aren't skilled enough to do it the right way. Go to a good salon with skilled techs. It will cost more, but its well worth it. Your nails will look sooo much better, and they won't be ruined by overfiling them either. Skilled techs do not use Dremels to supposedly 'rough' up the nail plate to apply the acrylic. It's simply not necessary to do so. This method is the only way they know in the 'chop shops.' Avoid them at all costs. Overfiling is what ruins your natural nails, not the acrylic - contrary to popular belief.

yes but please make sure they know what they are doing.acrilics will damage your nails. you can yet long natural nails if you constantly paint them. whan you dont what to have nail polish on them put a clear coat on and seal the edges. dont lett them cut or push back your cuticles this will do more damage than the acrilics. good luck with the nails and just to actualy answer the question you are correct but without the acrilics you cn have it on acrilics but it cost extraI'm getting Airbrush nails done tomorrow. I do custom paint, and use an airbrush everyday. I buy a lot of stuff from this company. Just not through ebay. Here's a link to their real website. http://www.airbrush-depot.com/ I don't know how familiar you are with airbrushes, but Iwata are the best around. These Master airbrushes are basically Iwata knockoffs. There are a bunch of companies selling these under different names. Airbrush Depot are the only ones that offer replacement parts at a reasonable price. I own a couple of these and they're actually nice guns. Especially for the price. If you were to buy the same model Iwata, It would cost you $180 for the airbrush alone. I love my Iwata's, but these guns are a close second.

I do custom paint, and use an airbrush everyday. I buy a lot of stuff from this company. Just not through ebay. Here's a link to their real website. http://www.airbrush-depot.com/ I don't know how familiar you are with airbrushes, but Iwata are the best around. These Master airbrushes are basically Iwata knockoffs. There are a bunch of companies selling these under different names. Airbrush Depot are the only ones that offer replacement parts at a reasonable price. I own a couple of these and they're actually nice guns. Especially for the price. If you were to buy the same model Iwata, It would cost you $180 for the airbrush alone. I love my Iwata's, but these guns are a close second.

Soak the nails in acetone. Wipe them off with a cotton ball every few minutes. Do this until they are completely dissolved. It takes a while, but they will eventually be gone. Hope this helps!concealer

Get a manicure and polish IMO, if you have long nails, or tips I wouldn't suggest a striking or dark colour and it can look quite vampy.

Badger makes great airbrush acrylics. it's what I see in nail salons the most...and it's what I use when I want a really good opaque white.

Your welcome. I ran a search on Google Images for all kinds of things, such as retro art, 80's %26amp; 90's art, posters, ink, line, outline, portraits..., it took a while, but I finally found those. Google Images are great to find pic's. Glad it helped.

Do you need a special air compressor for a airbrush tattoo gun or will a nail gun compressor or co2 work?
If by ';nail gun compressor'; you mean a shop compressor, than yes that's actually better. The compressors they sell specifically for airbrush are junk. You'll almost never see a professional using one. They either have a very small tank, or no tank at all. This means the compressor is constantly running, and pumping hot air through your hose. As the air cools in your line it creates water, causing you to have to use an in-line moisture trap.
As long as you have a regulator with a moisture trap, and the proper fittings, you're good to go with the shop compressor. In my studio, I keep my compressor in another room. I have 3/8'; hose running from the compressor, through the ceiling to the regulator mounted on the wall where I paint. This way I don't have to hear it when it kicks on.
As far as co2 goes, I've done it. The pros are it's portable, it's silent, and you don't need a moisture trap. The cons are if you're spraying wide open for any length of time, the gun will get so cold you'll have to put it down. It also gets a bit expensive filling tanks all the time.

CO2 will only work in short spurts. Long sustained runs will chill the line and freeze. You need to keep the can in warm water.

Airbrushing nails is a different way to paint the nails. So it uses a special base coat and top coat. The color is airbrushed on. Basically it is spray painting your nails.
